Rules and Regulations:

​

  • Participants applications must be complete.

  • Participants must be between the ages of 8 – 12, inclusive, and a legal resident of the United States. 

  • Students must be currently enrolled in a public, private, parochial or home school.

  • Contest has no cash value.

  • If winner is unable to participate on the launch dates, their space will be forfeited back to SpaceKids Global and cannot be transferred or assigned to another party. 

  • Employees of Blue Origin, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, First Responders Children’s Foundation and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Winners Prize Package

  • Two (2) round-trip coach airfare tickets for child and their guardian to Orlando, Florida

  • Two (2) nights of hotel accommodations

​

  • Round-trip ground transportation to and from Orlando International Airport and while on the Space Coast

​

  • Tour Blue Origin’s Rocket Park including interviews with space professionals

​

  • Schedules permitting, watch a live webcast of a New Shepard rocket launch with SpaceKids Global's astronaut Sharon Hagle

​

  • Visit NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex 

​

  • A SpaceKids Press Squad course before the trip to learn interview skills by a professional reporter

Participant Agreement:

If selected as a winner, I have the consent of my parent/guardian to travel to Orlando, Florida and Cocoa, Florida to view the launch and report on the experience. In consideration for permission to participate in the 2024 SpaceKids Press Squad Competition, I do hereby, for myself, for my heirs, executors, administrators and assignees, waive, release and discharge all rights and claims which I have or which may hereafter accrue against SpaceKids Global, First Responders Children’s Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Blue Origin and their respective officers, agents, successors and assigns from any damages which may be sustained by me in connection with my participation in or association with the Competition and/or arising out of any travel related to the Competition. I further understand that SpaceKids Global retains non-exclusive rights to use and publish My Child’s name, age, city, state, and likeness in the promotion and marketing of the Competition and the organization, including but not limited to publication on its website, in press releases, social media programs, and in other media activities, without notice or compensation to me.

 

 

Privacy Policy:

SpaceKids Global collects your information for this competition and for SpaceKids Global partners. You may be signed up to receive updates or information from SpaceKids Global and our partners. You may receive a message from our sponsor(s) regarding their program offerings, with the option to opt-out. You will be notified if you are one of the eight winners in August, 2024. The names of the winners will be posted on the SpaceKids Global website in August, 2024.
